You mean like “Soviet” union?
Many Americans were shocked to learn that many revenue generating college athletes at big schools like UConn sometimes go to bed hungry even though they generate billions for the schools, the NCAA and the advertisers. Well if underprivileged college athletes want to start a union they’ll have to go through Congress first. And Congress generally considers organized labor a bigger threat to the American way of life than terrorism. Organized labor is hugely responsible for increasing the quality life for the majority of Americans as opposed to the few. That’s a credible threat to the powers that be.
