Paxton, left, isn’t exactly a fan of sunlight when it comes to his lobbying activities. As a result the Allen Police Association has formally withdrawn their endorsement.
The Allen Police Association (Texas) has withdrawn its endorsement of Ken Paxton for Texas attorney general. Paxton, a state senator from McKinney is running against Rep. Dan Branch of Dallas in the GOP primary. Association president, Matthew Johnson, said he was disturbed that Paxton on Friday was fined $1,000 by the State Securities Board for failing to report that he was being paid to solicit clients for a North Texas financial services firm. He was not registered with the board.
