Propaganda 101
You gotta love the cajones on this guy. Check out the “letter to the editor” from this dude in San Antonio that has a beef with the local police association and all the other public employee unions. Notice the way he manages to paint advocacy and activity as some kind of unethical dirty dealing. From the letter: The police union is fighting to preserve a ridiculous benefit in lieu of an excellent benefit. If they lose, they will all take a short-term pay cut from ridiculously well-paid to extremely well-paid. It does, however, show the benefits of collective bargaining. 4 years ago, teachers, who don’t have collective bargaining in Texas, were in a similar situation. The question for police associations and their leaders is how do you make sure this political misinformation, printed as honest opinion, isn’t the only side of the story people read in the paper that day.
