Post your video on PubSecAlliance
Beginning today, PubSecAlliance members can post videotaped messages on the site. The message can be directed at the members, the agency, the community, politicians who control your fate, or all of the above. There will be no fee for this service.
Gary Delagnes, the former president of the San Francisco Police Officers Association, is the first person to take advantage of the service. In just one minute, he talks the many hurdles his union is facing including the battle to kill San Jose Major Chuck Reed’s ballot initiative. If the measure passes, it could mean the end of pensions for law enforcement officers in the state of California. The video was made with an iPhone and uploaded to the PubSecAlliance FTP site.
All the evidence shows a message delivered live via video is much more effective than a press release. It’s the perfect medium to deliver a hard-hitting missive on any number of subjects on behalf of your members. Once the video is posted, PubSec staff will utilize a number of resources, including social media, to get the widest possible audience for the message.
It’s also posted it in the “Affiliated Organizations” section of the site in the San Francisco POA section.
