Police Association Building Big

The Fort Worth Police Officers Association, which recently demolished its former one-story headquarters, is planning to build a a $5.5 million, 25,000-square-foot, five-story building.
The building will include 60 ground-floor parking spaces and a gymnasium and training facility for officers. The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas, which had an office in the former building, will have an office in the new one. The POA will fully occupy the building.
The project has been covered heavily in the local media running stories about the project and pictures of the architect’s drawings.
“This building will be a destination space for the men and women of the Fort Worth Police Officers Association,” Rick Van Houten, the POA president, said. “It will be a safe place for our officers to learn, connect and access critical resources all in one location.”
