But the union busters spend a ton of money coming up with feel good labels for their union busting activities. Just look at “right to work.” Who could ever be against an American’s “right to work?” Sounds way less communist than “workers’ rights” right? That’s what’s known as framing/messaging. And the guys that want your retirement money in their private equity funds are really, really good at it.
One of the things we try and do here is keep our members posted about how the forces stacked against them are winning hearts and minds with low-information voters by producing anti-union propaganda like this YouTube video. The important thing for leaders to keep in mind is what can be done in terms of creating counter-messaging in order to fight the active demonization of organized labor in general and associations representing law enforcement officers specifically.
