D.C. police association says “all hands on deck” could backfire
D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier has told her officers that she’s has initiated an “All Hands on Deck” for 2014. That’s what she calls her plan to make D.C. cops work five weekends whether they are scheduled to work those days or not. “It can only point to vindictiveness is what I think,” said Officer Nick Deciutiis, the First District Chief Shop Steward for the D.C Police Union. “She was told she couldn’t do that back in 2009. There as a court order ruling against the plan. There was a court order from 2009.”
