Cops cite man with AK-47
This past weekend, a man dressed as a banana with an AK-47 strapped across his back was cited by the Beaumont, Texas cops for “soliciting near a roadway.”
The man was promoting the grand opening of the Golden Triangle Tactical gun shop, store owner Derek Poe told 12 News Now. The man was holding a sign for the newly-opened store along with the rifle.
The 18-year-old man had a drum magazine with a 50-round capacity attached to the rifle, police told 12 Now News.
Poe, the store owner, was charged with disorderly conduct in December for carrying an assault rifle across in his back in a local mall where his store was previously located, according to 12 News Now.
