Cops are down on job
Another law enforcement association commissioned a morale survey indicating that pretty much everyone hates their job. It’s one of those things you can always count on – like death taxes and disease-related news stories in the slow news month of August. In Dallas, 80 percent of cops responding to a survey from the Dallas Police Association described their morale as “low” or “the lowest it’s ever been.” It’s tough to determine whether the low morale reported among Dallas police is a radical departure from previous morale levels or if it’s pretty much par for the course. Currently the Dallas POA is in a pitched PR battle with Dallas Police Chief David Brown over the termination of two officers involved in on-duty shootings, but the president, Ron Pinkston says the POA is not looking to remove the chief, just get justice and a fair shake for their officers.
