City officials kill cops healthcare
In San Antonio, like many other cities and counties, local lawmakers have voted to kick cops off their health care plans saying the coverage is too expensive for the city to afford. “The board’s vote reflects the business community’s recommendation that our city balance strong support for our public safety personnel with the need to maintain a healthy city budget as we grow and plan for our future,” said Board Chairman David McGee. As usual, “maintaining a healthy budget,” starts with screwing over public employees.
