Break time
The forces that want to take money from the working and middle classes and give it to the rich frequently justify the plan by saying they care about kids and families. But the families they refer to are hypothetical and imaginary. They view real American families as the enemy or a source of revenue. They talk a hell of a game though don’t they?
It’s important to remind ourselves from time to time what collective bargaining and the right to organize actually mean for working families – a chance to make a better lives for their children.
