Association leaders and city reach deal on body cams
Technology is all the rage in law enforcement. For every cop that gets laid off there’s another license plate reader, red light camera and facial recognition solution. But aren’t body cams exactly the kind of thing that should be part of the negotiation process between the city and the association? The Fraternal Order of Police thinks so. And that’s why they’re working with the city in an attempt to increase the organization’s influence as the details of how cops work get hammered out during contract talks.
