It was only through a massive and concerted effort that police officers and their allies in public sector jobs were able to fend off the governor’s attempt to eliminate unions in Ohio. Above is one of the mailers that made a critical difference in that campaign a couple of years ago.
The Toledo Police Patrolman’s Association is demanding that a local lawmaker that accused local cops of racially profiling him to resign. Councilman Larry Sykes claimed that he was racially profiled after an officer stopped him for obscured tags. The TPPA has made a formal request for Sykes to resign entitled “Your Conduct Unbecoming and Dishonest.”
