A police union in New York City has bought some air-time to broadcast attack ads targeting newly sworn in Mayor Bill DeBlasio. Ed Mullins, the head of sergeants union, is using radio ads to slam Mayor de Blasio for trying to ban the horse carriages. Mullins says the mayor claims there’s no money for raises but that if he bans the horse carriage industry, which brings in tourism and creates jobs, there will be even less money for salaries.
