VIDEO: Austin Cops Leaving in Droves
Four more Austin, Texas, cops resigned last week, bringing the total of those putting in their papers in the past year at 36. The turmoil comes amidst a bitter labor dispute between the city and the Austin Police Association

He attributes the decline in morale, in part, to officers having to double-up in police cars because of ongoing carbon monoxide leaks in some of the cars, a new assistant chief, and, mostly, because the Department and the Austin City Council couldn’t agree to terms on a new police contract.
