The face of the enemy
They look like a nice enough couple. But if they get their way there won’t be any public services left to worry about. When you’re sitting on millions for the great job you did at CNN or in Iraq it just doesn’t seem fair that you should have to ante up for the services required by the little people.
Here’s the thing about union busters and the people who pay half of our effective tax rate like Mitt Romney and Pete Peterson – they’re nothing if not media savvy.
That’s why you will see more and more former “media personalities” like Campbell Brown – formerly of CNN. What’s she up to these days? She’s being bankrolled by billionaires to kill the teachers’ unions. And if it works there, it can work in public safety. The thing about taking the wrong people’s money and giving it to the right people, (which is what privatization schemes like charter schools are all about once you peel all the B.S. back) is that you need professional performers like Brown in order to make the operation look less like a smash and grab job.
Campbell Brown worked at CNN. Her husband Dan Senor, is a former Bush Administration official and FOX News analyst. First they’ll go after the teachers and then the cops. So if you thought the media had it in for you as a police officer you were right – in more ways than one.
