Rochester Police Locust Club (NY) Joins PubSecAlliance
The Rochester Police Locust Club is the newest member of our online community of law enforcement union leaders and their members.
The Rochester Police Locust Club was founded on April 17, 1904 – over 100 years ago. Today the association represents sworn personnel of the Rochester Police Department. The name “Locust Club” refers to the kind of wood that all Rochester police nightsticks were once made from.
The Rochester Police association is dedicated to improving working conditions, wages and benefit for their members. Another goal is to improve communications with their own members, the citizens of Rochester, the citizens, the media, politicians the the command staff of the Rochester Police Department.
The current president of the Locust Club is Mike Mazzeo. He assumed office in June 2008. His goals are to strengthen the union by motivating the members to get involved and by fostering strong partnerships and alliances with other labor organizations.
