Failure to prepare is preparing to fail
Randi Weingarten, President, American Federation of Teachers has a good piece up over at the Huffington Post where she discusses America’s retirement insecurity crisis. Randi points out that not only do Americans fail to adequately save for their retirement, that deficit is being made immeasurably worse by pension thieves in state and local governments. Weingarten also points out that if you want to understand what’s what and who’s who in terms of really gaming the system the guys to ask are Matt Taibbi and David Sirota. Unlike the corporate media and press, Taibbi and Sirota pull no punches when discussing the forces that are trying and succeeding to bust unions and demonize workers- particularly public employees.
