Dade County PBA launches radio show
The Dade County Police Benevolent Association is launching its own hour long radio show “Rapid Response” on 880 am radio. It will air twice a month on the first and third Thursdays of the month.
The show was born from the idea that there are many topics and issues facing our community which require more than 15 second soundbyte responses.
“There are stories that aren’t being told and news that isn’t being covered. We want the chance to delve deep into issues and interact with the community,” said PBA President John Rivera.
According to Rivera, like most things the Dade County PBA undertakes, the show will be racy and thought provoking. “We want the community to know that we are listening to them. We want them to have a better understanding of issues facing law enforcement and we want to give them a behind the scenes look at what is going on in government. The show will also highlight the many positive actions that officers take that go unnoticed,” said Rivera. Rivera will serve as the main host of the show along with many interesting and surprise guest hosts.
The first “Rapid Response show airs tonight on 880 am radio at 9 p.m. Tune in on your radio dial, go to www.880thebiz.com to livestream, or download the 880 The Biz from your smartphone play store. You can also use the ‘I heart radio’ app to listen. And like the show on Facebook!
