U.S. police departments are training their officers—and members of the public, in some cases—how to respond to and stay alive in active shooter attacks.
On last night’s episode of “60 Minutes,” correspondent Anderson Cooper sat down with several law enforcement experts, including NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton, D.C. Chief Cathy Lanier, and NYPD counterterrorism expert John Miller to discuss the pros and cons of how U.S. law enforcement responds to “active shooter” attacks, what the U.S. can learn about the Paris terrorist attacks, and more.
