Killing government with starvation
We’re living in a golden era for conservatives. The federal government is spending at the lowest level since the Eisenhower Administration. Vets can’t get an appointment at the VA but that’s o.k. because we’re being “fiscally responsible.” At the state level things are much worse. Take Missouri for instance. The governor tried to veto a bill that radically cut taxes to the point where it would cripple basic services. But state lawmakers won out in the end. What kind of revenue loss are we talking about? Try $620 million. So if you’re a public employee in Missouri and you were hoping for a raise you can probably forget about it.
